One of the most often overlooked safety performance functions for most Professional Contract Cleaners is that of Neutralizing Wood Surfaces after they have been cleaned. More often than not an excessively strong alkali detergent bed has been introduced to the substrate in order to kill mold and mildew. Left un-neutralized it will surely damage the wood by destroying years of it’s life. Further, with the strong alkali beds after the cleaning process you will notice that the wood has darkened substantially. Typically you can expect the darkening to reverse itself after 5 to 10 days but you should never expect it to be as bright as it once was simply because the alkali has penetrated deep into the wood. Deck & Shake Brightener quickly starts reversing this action. Typically, the darkened surface will be back to normal in 1-4 days. If not, you should re-apply the product. The last thing you want is an un-happy customer or a lawsuit. Right?

Composition: Deck & Shake Brightener is a unique blend of wood brightening acids and surface safe surfactants specifically designed to penetrate the surface and neutralize highly built alkali detergent beds while returning the surface to a “like new” appearance. Deck & Shake Brightener is sold in 35 pound containers and will yield approximately 1 gallon of solution for every 1/2 to 1 pounds of product.

For Cedar Shakes and unpainted Wood Decks simply spray RESTORE on, wait 20 to 30 minutes, and Rinse off. You will not believe your eyes! No more harsh bleach or surface and vegetation aggressive chemicals. Totally removes black mold and mildew build-up on shakes, regardless of how long it has been there.

RESTORE works by means of oxygenation and should not be mixed with water until the operator is ready to perform the job. Once RESTORE is in solution, the operator will have approximately 1-2 hours before the product has exhausted itself. Mix up enough so that you will be able to get the product on the surface within this time.

Mix approximately 1/2 pound of RESTORE into 1 gallon of hot water and stir vigorously to insure complete solubility. Spray directly onto wood surface. When product has removed pollutant, rinse with low pressure, 500 - 1000 PSI.

For restoring Antique furniture or furniture that has been stained, pre-wet the surface with a light mist of water. Sprinkle a small amount of RESTORE in dry form on pre-wet surface. With a plastic scrub pad (the type that you would normally use in the kitchen) work RESTORE into the wood and allow it to stand 20-30 minutes. Rinse with a light mist of water. Do Not soak the wood with water - a light mist is all that is required to activateRESTORE.
Upon completion, we recommend drying the wood with a portable dryer or heat lamps.
